Born in Cleburne, Texas on December 2, 1957, to John W. and Barbara (Rudloff) Hardee, Christy embodied a spirit that touched countless lives.
Her passions were as diverse as they were heartfelt. From her intricate cross-stitch creations to the savory aromas that danced from her kitchen, Christy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. The great outdoors beckoned her with open arms, where she reveled in the tranquility of country living.
Yet, it wasn't just her hobbies that defined her; it was her character. Christy was a beacon of acceptance and understanding. Her genuine nature knew no bounds, and she never wore a facade. Those fortunate enough to know her recognized that she was "always Christy" – raw, honest, and wonderfully unapologetic.
In the face of adversity, Christy's compassion shone brightest. She stood by her siblings, guiding them through life's trials with unwavering strength and grace.
A celebration of Christy's life will be held in the Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel on November 25 at 12 pm. It will be a time to gather, honor her memory, and cherish the impact she made on our lives.
Christy is survived by her husband Will Johnson, her son Ricky and his wife Laura Robertson, daughter Misty and her husband Brandon Harmon, and grandchildren McKayla and Kyle Crews, Bryan Robertson, Peyton Robertson, Marquis East, Breanna East, Caleb Smith, Gary Douse and three great grandchildren.
She leaves behind her father John W. Hardee, sister Kelly and Greg Hatch, brother John R. and Laurie Hardee, brother Joe and Jennifer Hardee, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Christy was preceded in death by her mother Barbara Hardee and brother Wesley.
A graduate of Alvarado High School in 1975, Christy's spirit of determination and kindness resonated through her life's journey.
